Ultimate guide to cloud security

Introduction

Interest in cloud computing has grown significantly in the past few years. 90% of
businesses now use the cloud for data management, storage, and analysis. According
to the o cial NIST (The National Institute of Standards and Technology) defines, cloud
security as a model that allows ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to
a shared pool of computing resources such as networks, servers, storage an
applications, which can be provided rapidly with minimal management e ort or
service provider interaction. However, cloud security pertains to have always been
associated with cloud adoption. In this White Paper, we discuss security challenges in
the cloud environment and their remedies. The main goal of this study is to spot,
classify, organize, and quantify the most security considerations and solutions
associated with cloud security. This serves within the task of pinpointing the concerns
that remain unanswered, focusing to turn this information into a useful tool for
comparing, relating and identifying concerns and solutions for the future. We are
putting a codification proposal for cloud security, focusing on issues that are specific
to cloud security without losing sight of other existing issues in distributing systems.
Finally, this White Paper provides an enhanced review of the cloud security previously
introduced in the webinar on Cloud Security, as well as a more in-depth analysis of
related work by discussing the main security frameworks currently available. In
addition, we will discuss further the security aspects related to virtualization in Cloud
