How David Anthony Helps Agencies Escape Legacy Tech and Rise Above the Cloud

When I look back on my own career path from building computers to earning a pilot’s license to leading cloud modernization for federal agencies, I see a clear pattern.
Transformation isn’t just about changing direction. It’s about finding something that works better for everyone. I started in hardware engineering, then pivoted to aviation. After gaining enough flight hours to earn a private pilot license, I realized that my real passion wasn’t physically taking people to places, but helping build experiences that take people to places they’d never imagined. That’s what brought me back to tech. “I didn’t return to tinker with servers, but to design systems that genuinely serve.”
I enjoy it, and now I spend more of my time in virtual clouds. Today, as a Cloud Solutions Architect at vTech Solution, I help federal and state & local clients modernize legacy applications, migrate and modernize applications in the cloud, and unlock the potential of a digital government. But what we do isn’t just technical. At vTech, we believe modernization is fundamentally about empowerment -making government work better for everyone, including the people building it.
