After serving 23 years in the U.S. Navy and an additional 21 years with the Federal Government, LCDR William “Bill” Ashton faces mobility challenges due to Degenerative Lumbar Disease. Seeking greater independence in his retirement, Bill was matched with Scarlet, a highly trained Assistance Dog from paws4people®.
